Average age?

That's OldSaltOz's signature.

I'm 37 .. I think .. sounds about right. This puts me somewhere about the middle by the looks of things.

Jeff.

One foot in the grave

I'm 16 years younger than my boat, which I bought 20 years ago. The boat is probably in better condition.

Well, what a sprightly lot you all seem to be. And so young (or imaginative) too. I am, if I average with the only other inhabitant of my home (my spaniel, only one now, my little boy spaniel died on New Years Eve) only 35, which is certainly what I feel. And my ambition is to join the ARC, either with or without a crew. But I need a bigger boat to live aboard. Working on it. Incidentally I have retired once and found it too dull, so am working again part-time, just for fun.Recommend it

As an Oscar Wilde fan I feel he had it right when he declared that one should never trust a woman who will tell you her age - if she tells you that she'll tell anybody anything!

Re: Feeling like an 18 year old

You'll find even that feeling will go in a few more years!

Me 50, wife 48, boat 25. Retiring next year, house sold...flats paid for (rental earning). Boat refit finishes March. If anyone gets on my t*ts at work after that I'm off immediately. Wife already retired.
