Autopilot ram repair - Falmouth area

Anyone got any recommendations for someone to replace the rod seal on my Lecomble and Schmitt autopilot hydraulic ram?

Falmouth area.

I could possibly DIY, but it's a messy job, and the chances of me making it worse are quite high

I'd contact Armada Engineering, who are in Falmouth. They might not do your job (too small?!) but they certainly would know someone who can.

Armada specialise in marine so a good bet. Also Danser Hydraulics.
Armada in Bickland Water industrial estate at the back of Falmouth and Danser are in Kernick Ind Est in the back of Penryn not far from B&Q and Asda.

Two more options, Rotec (01326 653 287 falmouth@rotec.net ), based in the Docks, and DP Industrial Services (01326 450676 / 07376389149), based out of the boatpark by Trago/Tescos in Falmouth.

Work with both (as well as Armada) professionally and they're all good people. DP might be a better bet for yachty stuff; they do quite a bit with Pendennis also.
