Does anyone have any information on how to dismantle but more importantly bleed this type of electro hydraulic actuator when it's rebuilt ? I am about to try repairing this one which is labelled as a Cetrek unit but I am having no luck getting any service information about it.
The problem is that it will not steer to starboard, the motor runs but the ram doesn't respond and everything else checks out fine i.e voltages etc.
Please don't mention 'The Service Centre' been there got the CD, with nothing about it on it and no luck when speaking/emailing them except a quote for a new one which is out of the question.
Any help with the tiniest bit of info would be much appreciated as I hope to start dismantling it next week which I don't think will be a problem but resetting it up probably will be.
Thanks in advance.P1000731.jpgP1000732.jpgP1000734.jpgP1000733.jpgP1000735.jpgP1000736.jpg

Hi PCUK, I do think it is the seals but as I've not opened it up yet I can't be sure. It's the refilling and possible bleeding that is my worry as I have no idea if a special bleed tool is required.

cant give advice specific to your kit but I have taken my Robertson ram to bits to replace the seals. Easy job done with care and refilling and bleeding was nothing special. Its not like a set of brakes in that respect - my ram was self bleeding.

If no one can give you specific help then just gently take it to bits using common sense. Its basically simple kit.
