I've managed to buy a used seatalk converter to use my autohelm with my wireless wind instrument nasa. How well will this work? I'm hoping my boat will just sail perfectly to a wind angle.

After an hour of messing about with a lot of google, I've got the W on the autohelm to show that its receiving the wind information.
I will test out how well it steers in the wind on Friday :)

Sorry, I misread that you had converted the signal to Seatalk so ignore! Hope it works OK as sailing to wind gives a good feeling. With my last boat I was even able to do it with the cruising chute up.

You need to wire your NMEA 0183 output from your Nasa wind as shown here raymarine.com/en-gb/download/st1000-st2000-tiller-drive-manuals

However this only applies to the ST2000+. I do not think that the earlier models (ST 2000) take NMEA input. Check with the manual you have for the unit. I can't check with the Raymarine site because my login details only apply to the + model which I have.
I managed to get a used e85001 converter from eBay to make it work.
