Hi
i have an old autohelm 2000 tiller pilot with the pot twistable compass control head. i noticed that someone extended the wiring between the tiller linear actuator and the pot control head, i removed the tape and saw 4 wires, a red, yellow, blue and green. Which i did not expect.
Is there a potentiometer? any information about it, voltages, extents etc?
when i took apart the linear actuator for greasing i noticed a small circuit board behind the motor, any information on that, how it works etc? no pictures of it sorry didn't dig into that side of it much.
which wires are the positive and negative? can i drive the motor with just the positive and negative wires? - looking to have the linear actuator eventually be controlled by Pypilot and my pi zero...
Does the pot control head know the extents of the actuator?
Any information or wiring diagrams will be helpful!
In the mean time i plan on poking the wires with a volt meter.
Thanks!
