Autohelm 1000

I have an Autohelm 1000 but no instruction book. The instrument has been out of use for more than 2 years but I need it now. Unfortunately it appears to have forgotten how to work. I think I need to calibrate it or intialise it or something. Can anybody tell me how to go about this?

Sounds odd! Have you power and response to buttons? I have a manual and can send you details to calibrate but this is only to "sensitize" it to your vessel - factory settings should give acceptable performance. Calibration can be turned "off" to prevent unauthorised changes but window will say CAL OFF. To turn on press and hold -1 and Standby for 10 secs until display says CAL OFF. Use +1/-1 to toggle on/off. Store setting by pressing and holding -1 and Standby for further 10 secs until display returns to normal. Say if want calibration instructions.
