Auto pilot and RADAR

Good day everyone. I’m buying my first yacht. 1999 Fairline Targa 43. She doesn’t have RADAR or autopilot and I want to install both. Can anyone give me an idea of normal installation cost? I’d like to install Garmin because it will integrate with the Garmin cockpit already installed.

Difficult to say I should think. Are you fitting them yourself, or getting a pro in? Wrt to Radar many different options and prices. Why do you need it? Will AIS do as an alternative?

Don’t know much about Garmin, but often the modern radar systems are not compatible with older type plotters. If existing MFD/Plotter is more than 5 years old may need to update this (or these if multiple) - or buy second hand radar to match.
