They have large tides there 7-10m (compared to less than 1m in Perth) so probably hit it submerged and by the time the picture was taken it ended up like this.. I love the way the anchor was put out.. just in case it floated away ��

Maybe the anchor was deployed to prevent the rock from moving and endangering other vessels?

Comments on other previous threads have referanced that if the anchor is out then it affects to marine salvage legal situation, but I was never able to find an info on that so no idea if it is true. Maybe had engine failure and put anchor out to try to stop drifting to the rock or was trying to use it to pull the boat off before th tide went out.
