here is a message I received from a friend, how can I help this person?

PS am very worried about myself today. I've booked this weekend as a boat weekend but I don't know whether I can be bothered going all that way to get wet through for a couple of days. Never felt like that before - any clues?

did suggest something along those lines, involving the use of the words "boat" & "hotter"

Check his general colour, pulse rate and vital signs etc., if all ok:-

Phone his missus and suggest that she prepares a list of particularly urgent jobs about the house.

If that don't change his mind:-

Get him down the doctors. QUICK.

Steve.

Oh dear, it wasn't me but could easily could have been. Could just as easily sell the boat and give up altogether.

Confidentiality

You Swine
Is nothing sacred? I open my heart to you, my innermost thoughts and fears and what do I get - a semi-supportive PM then WALLOP - its on the front page of the Sun. Now I know how they famous people must feel.

Re: Confidentiality

Are you equating the Scuttlebutt Forum with the Sun?? surely not ... I cannot comprehend how or when Scuttlebutt would stoop to the same baseness as the Sun?? no no there must be some misunderstanding.. ???

Re: Confidentiality

Hmm -perhaps you're correct -that was a little hasty of me and I apologise to the Scuttlebutt. However - I still feel that there has been a breach of confidentiality in that I sent a PM to someone whom I thought I could trust to find that I was obviously mistaken and now not only am I concerned that I don't feel like sorting out sleeping bags, food, driving up to the boat, having a couple of days there - one of which looks to be quite wet, to reverse the whole process on Sunday and come home - but I also have doubts about my own judgement. Its very damaging to have one's trust betrayed and, well, what more can I say....
Did I ever tell you about Wee Jamesie's problem with his willie?

Re: Wee Jamsies problem

mm well interesting as it sounds I am quite content not to know anything further about his problem..

Re trusting Jamsie.. well judging by the sensationalist, scaremongering and down right dubious nature of many of his posts I wouldn't trust with any PM of mine.. but I really think that you shouldn't worry about your judgement .. I think it's quite charming that you are so trusting!

The other thing is that I can't find any confidentiality clause in the Terms & Conditions of this forum..maybe we should ask Mr Hollomby about this?

Re: Wee Jamsies problem

It's a shame but apparently a <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.ybw.com/cgi-bin/forums/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=cherbourg04&Number=573594&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=31&part=>piss-pipe doc</A> has just cried off the Cherbourg Armada.. Jamsie could have maybe got his problem seen too..
