Aujourd’hui

You might think that I am miserable being stuck in port on such a beautiful morning

But I’m with the technician who is installing my passerelle.
So I couldn’t be happier ?

where's the install pics then?
Its a disaster ! I’m on a downer☹️
All installed but my transom is wobbling like a jellyfish. So he now has to comeback (not sooner than two weeks) with a steel frame like in a Sealine ?

I just bet you boys wish you were ski-ing in the Welsh Med with the Conwy Mob

I really hesitate to say this but it would wobble less if you shed a few pounds (or rather kilos in your case)?

I vaguely remember a discussion about your boat and whether something was strong enough, was it transom or bathing platform?
Were is it mounted? transom has a door, next to it high up, low? spill the beans (or point to the thread!)

cheers

PS. crappy weather down here today, not manage to reach 20C bitterly disappointed, had to wear a fleece over my t-shirt whilst working on the N facing aft deck

Wasn’t me, it was someone who already had a passerelle that started to get loose.
My transom has a door but that is on the port side and my passerelle is on starboard. But it is quite high up.

hm, so the top of the transom flexes when you step on it...
where is the frame now going to help, where is it going to fit? inside the transom or will it be visible?

The entire transom shakes, bows and creaks when you gently move the passerelle by hand. I wouldn’t dare stand on it!
It’s going to be a sturdy L shaped steel frame made I section steel, with steel plates screwed into lazaret floor and inside the transom. I obviously haven’t seen it yet, just some rough drawing on a piece of cardboard but I’m told it will be modeled on one from Sealine.
