Hello,
Just wondering if anyone could help me? I am curious to know what type of boat is pictured on page 42 of the August 2008 edition of Classic Boat Magazine in the Beale Park article. It is one in the main picture on the far left with Blue underside and White above and Varnished strip at the top.

Thanks, Nick.

Yes, that does look unusual. Rather like a miniature Zulu, with its plumb stem. Sorry that I can't hep with identification a little more.

Yes that is what I was thinking which is why I was curious, hopefully someone will manage to put me out of my misery before too long.

She is very similar to CUACH a Zulu skiff...

CUACH - Length overall (19ft)
Built by Sandy Macdonald, Ardsligachan Farm, Ardnamurchan. She is lightly built in the style of a Zulu with a raked stern. Her design owes much to the traditional working Zulus but also the influence of the Dysart miners racing boats

I cant find a photo online but there is one on Pages 8/9 of CB 151 Jan 2001.

Have scanned in the page....

Excellent thanks for that, I wasn't aware of these before and like the look of the full size Zulus so was just curious really.

Jury's still out on ours, some say Zulu, some say Fifie and some say Baldie! lovely lines when she's out the water though
