I have followed this on and off but not commented.
I hate to say it NickC but i think you may be banging your head against a brick wall, life is too short to not be sailing. I think you should find another local club and join them, im sure it will be a wrench, it would be to leave mine and the friends you make along the way. If the Committee is as bad as you say, they will get what they are due in the fullness of time.

OCD suffers don't think logically nor use common sense...

Treatable with CBT or Fluoxetine etc

No, as it happens, but I did once employ a chap who did and as a graduate pharmacologist, I have more than a passing interest.

In any case, it is sad that a disorder of the brain is stigmatised and the suffer treated in a completely different way than if it had been a disorder of the body. (As exemplified by your post)

No nothing of significance, wouldn't think the sum total of assets amounts to more than £10k, they don't own the land they lease it.

I do not know who raised the proposal for compulsion, other than hints by you, but as I tend to believe little you say without proof then I cannot really know for sure
According to you, earlier post, I am supposed to know the club treasurer as well, but as I do not know who the club treasurer is then I cannot comment on that either

DB,

We have already accepted the fact that you do not know the Treasurer of said club and that it is just coincidence that you live within 100yrds of each other.

As for your other potential link with the Club it was you who told us that you had discussed this matter with the committee member you knew at your model boat club. see your post #246.

There is only one serving committee member we know of who is involved with model boats and that is the person who raised the proposal for this expulsion in the first place. It not unreasonable to expect that he might have mentioned this fact to you when you discussed the matter together, if he failed to reveal this that then brings into question the integrity of anything else he may have told you regarding this issue.

For those that have read the correspondence and documentation we believe this is the person known as {mooring4}, the one who seemingly hadn’t paid any mooring rental for two or three years.

Nick -you did not even come into the discussion- why on earth would such an insignificant matter as yours be of interest when the discussion was about finding officers for clubs in general ( be it sailing, model yachting or model flying etc)

You seem to think that your "case" has some sort of importance- Well as far as I am concerned it does not; other than the fact that you have done your absolute best to drag a club ( which, I am told by visitors to the club, is a good friendly one) through your dirt.
That alone should be enough to sling you out of any club & i am pleased that they have chosen to act accordingly.

Irrespective of whether Nick was mentioned or not, it beggars belief that a conversation like that with an officer or member of "their club" could not lead to a discussion about the merits or otherwise of the thread contents.

If the member or officer was not willing to engage in that discussion that reminds me perfectly of the BBC interview of a young visitor from China last week during the visit from the Chinese Premier. The young lady was in the crowd of supporters waiting by the route to see the Premier. After explaining to the BBC reporter how much she was looking forward to seeing the great man, she was asked what she thought about the allegations that human rights in China were being infringed. She replied that she would rather not reply. The BBC man pressed her but it was clear that "no comment" was all he was ever going to get.

And we all know exactly why don't we! :(

How on earth do you come to that conclusion?
We were with a group of model yacht enthusiasts at tea break casually discussing getting people to volunteer for posts in clubs in general & who fouled who in the last race, who had nicked the most cakes & how people with Britpops win most races etc etc. Oh! and the veterans section in Finns- which was more interesting.
I doubt if any others knew what I was talking about when i mentioned the forum ( unless they were also members of club concerned ) Or were even the slightest bit bothered.

All i got from the discussion was that said club re elected their commodore due to fact no one wanted to volunteer for the job

I told you we were not in the least bit interested in NickC

Whats wrong with that??
