Attachment of d rings to a rib

I have just bought a small rib as a tender to my sailing yacht. I need to fit some rings onto it so that i can lift it with my two davits on the stern of my yacht. My question is do i fit these rings on the GRP deck of the rib or the tubes. I think they should be on the GRP deck and if so how would i fit them and what rings should i buy?

What's the weight of the rib? Probably best lifting the stern using 2 eyes bolted through the transom. The bow would be more tricky, just screwing an eye to the deck is unlikely to last long. Ideally you'd want to cut open the deck and bolt into something more structural.

Forget using the tubes, you can get away with it on a small, lightweight sib but not a rib.
