Attaching a transducer without screws

Quickie - got a fishfinder to use with my 17ft wooden sloop. How can I attach the transducer (transom mount) without using screws? So this is stainless steel to wood (which is painted). I would be keen to do this with some kind of robust marine adhesive rather than use the screws supplied.

We fit transom mount transuders (try saying that quickly!) to our inflatables using a wooden 'drum' which is glued in place and then the transducer gets cable tied around it. Reproducing the effect of attaching it to an electric outboard or similar.
