Hi All

Am considering making a couple of stops later this year on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, possibly Tangier, Rabat and the place close north of Casablanca. I've reviewed all the posts on here - most of which are at least two years old, so I was wondering if there are any updates (eg facilities at Tangier)? I've heard good reports this year about Rabat.

My RCC North Africa pilot is a bit old now...

All info appreciated, thanks.

I have been to Rabat many times over the last few years, most recently last July. I would strongly recommend it, though with one caveat. It is on the river Bouregreg and all rivers can be dangerous in certain conditions, however they are very aware of the dangers and will advise you if it safe to enter, call them on VHF, they will advise if entry is s afe and will send a launch to guide you in. If they advise against entry believe them, it can be dangerous, this also applies to the entry at Media. Mohammadia 30 mile south is an all weather harbour and is also nice, but Rabat and Sale are the best. Go and enjoy.
