I am planning to take my boat down the Atlantic coast of France. She is currently in Camaret and I intend to go as far south as La Rochelle. I am going to do it at a leisurely pace in stints of a couple of weeks at a time in between which I will be leaving the boat and coming back to the UK for a couple of weeks.

Where do the team think would be good places for the stays when I am leaving the boat? They need to be places where there is likely to be space for a couple of weeks during the peak summer time, relatively cheap, ideally with accessible airports but don't need to be good places to visit or be suitable for on-board stays.

Many thanks in advance.

Train services are excellent along the coast and into Paris so, transport isn't a problem. Nantes also seems popular for flights as well. There are so many marinas all along the coast, you shouldn't be stuck for space, except maybe LesMinimes (La Rochelle) in high season. Possibility of mooring buoy at Folleux, up the Villaine, or pontoon berth at Roche Bernard or Arzal.
