Atlantic crossing W -> E, radio net ?

If there is someone planning to cross from the Caribbean towards the Açores, say leaving during the next 2-3 weeks, what about a radio net, or more simply a daily radio rendez-vous to show this miserable fisherman the amount of fish you lucky ones have been able to catch ?

I might be crewing on a boat leaving from Barbados in 2 weeks time, bound for the Azores - however she does not have an SSB, just VHF and (hopefullY!) a sat-phone for receiving weather forecasts with.

Mike Bryon will be leaving soon as well on his lovely Ocean 60 Dark Horse - he has posted a note on the Crewing forum re crew.

I have just been looking up the Meteo France weather forecasts on line, and I have a couple of queries re these, but rather than causing thread drift here I shall start a new thread.
