Atlanta FastNet 34 - What do you think?

An old sailing buddy bought one a few years ago - nice boat but not my cup of tea - I do not like the shrouds coming down through the deck into the accommodation and running through the seating. Additionally she is a very wet boat - definitely needs a spray hood but as she is whell steering one is standing at the back and gets wet anyway. Aft st'brd cockpit locker fouls on the wheel so has a wierd hinge arrangement and a cut out in the seat to allow the lid to clear the wheel. A 20hp is IMHO a little on the light side - OK for tootling on and off moorings and getting out of the marina but not up to punching into any sort of sea. On the plus side they are relatively fast and sturdy - will see you through most. - Oh, almost forgot - the 6' + draft can be a problem in some places if trying for moorings up some tidal creek or other.

Like any other boat there are pros and cons - you need to decide if it ticks the boxes for you or not but at that age do get a full survey done.

Fastnet 34

Hi Y'all
Was taken ill over the summer months but now am back fighting fit and ready to re explore the idea of finally purchasing the F_Net 34.
She's a lovely boat and in very good nick, all is needed is a survey and subject to that an offer (cash out of a briefcase).
Fingers Crossed!
