What's the latest on getting to messalonghi from Athens airport by public transport? can one get the train easily to Patra and then bus or taxi to the marina?

The Marina used to have a fact sheet detailing the various transport options. Jo emailed it to me when we went there last year. Suggest you email him and ask. We did the bus a couple of times which worked out fine for us although the bus station is the other side of town from the marina so a taxi hop was necessary. I know the metro/train to Patras has improved but we didnt use it.

Suggest you come out of the airport building, catch the X93 to the coach station at Kifissousis St and then get one of the coaches to Messalonghi.
This website gives you the times of coaches - costs X93 & coach €33.10 each.
