Hi all,

We have a bareboat out of Kalamaki/Alimos marina next month and need to work out the best way to get there from Athens airport.

It is for me, SWMBO and my 2 daughters (aged 2 and 3). If we have a taxi we will need child seats.

Is it better to hire a car?

Where is good to pick up provisions en route to the marina if we go down the hire car route?

Cheers

There is a bus from the airport that stops right outside Alimos and a supermarket (not a budget one but good) just across the road. Proper airport bus so plenty of room for luggage.

That's good to know. Any idea how long it takes? an hour? and how often it goes. The bus gets us around the car seat problem.

From memory about an hour and runs I think every half hour. Think the timetable is on the airport website. The route is through Glyfada and then west along the coast.

Hi
We stay at the Blue Sea Hotel in Alimos ,which is very pleasant and comfortable due to flights landing the day before our charter starts, they can organise a taxi to collect us @ 35 E and we use a local supermarket close to the marina which cheaper and has more range - they will then deliver to your boat. if you need more info pm me .Enjoy
