Just finished puttting the lower gear unit back after replacing the impeller as part of an overheating issue... had replaced the thermostat earlier. Got to admit that I muddled my way through the impeller change somewhat but pleased to say, it seems to have done the job as the needle sits nicely in the middle of the temp gauge on the muffs.. engine was running rough at idle but a quick tweak of the mixture screw put paid to that and she sat there purring away for 20 mins without a splutter or rise in temperature.

Time to put the socket set away and go do what this thng's built for:cool: Should be down Lymington weekend of 22nd May weather permitting:)

Nice one. It is very satisfying to fix things oneself

This weekend I have fixed a navigation light and a macerator pump which it seemed just needed a screwdriver to turn the spindle a few times to unstick it.

It does seem that owning a MOBO generates lots of DIY tasks and the odd issue requiring professional help. :D
