Would anyone like to sail a Classic Sparkman & Stephens sloop from Parma to Cyprus, CICLON is a 53 foot S & S race yacht, she was built in 1942 and was not raced untill 1947 when she won the St. Petersburg - Havana race, she also won the Miami - Nassau race beating Stormy Weather in the process, she finished 2nd behind Stormy in 1948's S.O.R.C.

I have recently completed a 1200NM voyage across the Gulf of Mexico to Florida, she proved to be a very able boat, reaching over 10 knots with very little wind.

The trip involves sailing CICLON from Parma to Cyprus, there are two ways we could go, firstly we could go, Parma, Sardinia, Sicily, Italy, Mainland Greece and then through the Corinthian Canal, several Greek Islands, Turkish coast and hence to Cyprus.

The second route would be, Parma, Sardinia, Sicily, Italy, Bottom end of Greece (Peloponese) Santorini, Rhodes, Turkish coast and hence to Cyprus.

Either way represents approx 1600NM and should take around three weeks. If you are the type of person who would appreciate a trip such as this, then send me a private message. The trip would be first, second week in October.

Kind regards

Ross Davis
