Aston Martin ........ not very boaty

[ QUOTE ]
I'm on my 4th bm, mainly cos I just like the cars ... but if you really want a 'never goes wrong' car, buy a Lexus. Reliable to the the point of boredom.

Cheers

Thats exactly what we have done - GS300 and not a boring as you might think. I would give handling (small margin) and breaking (large margin) to BM but all trhings being equal we are pleased to return to Toyota.

BTW: a good Lexus driver will soon sort out a bad BM driver /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

What is it with men and Aston Martins. My husband would sell the grandchildren for one. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I think they are Dull, Dull, Dull (and don't they break down all the time?)

All men have this image permanently burned onto their sub conscious. We can't help it.

must offer the contrary view.........i've had a 528 and now a 530i and have taken both from 20,000 miles to 150,000 miles and the only problem (same for both cars) has been rear wheel bearings at 120,000 miles. I'll stick with BMW.

Have the two obviously totally separate departments which design each end of the car settled the argument about what the car is going to look like yet ? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I used to drive an Aston every day 53 years ago, I bought Green Pea shown here for £100 when I didn't have the £150 asked for a Bugatti I went to look at.

The history of the car is now known, but when I had it there were only a few rumours about it. When the gearbox played up I couldn't afford to repair it, so sold the Aston for £150. The present owner has kept the car since then.

In 1971 I had my second one, a DB5. Great car but very heavy to drive about town.
