Just got our new, to us, F36 back to Cardiff and was woken by a piercing alarm!
Bilge No 2 pump between the engines running but no water anywhere, disconnected it but alarm still sounding.
Thanks to "Who" on this forum (thanks Mike) who told me there is a 2nd aft bilge pump.
In the lazarette, behind the generator under a 6" dia inspection hatch in the floor is hidden a float switch and a pump, inaccessible to man!
I emptied that section of the bilge with a stirrup type pump. The water was up to the pump and around half way up it.
The pump runs but didn't seem to be emptying the water, as if a pipe had come away or it was blocked.
My question is how on earth do you get to that pump in order that clean it out or replace it and the float switch!
Thanks to anyone who may have achieved this seemingly impossible task and may be able to advise

Iain, not much Mike doesn't know about these boats. Are the float switches mechanics, or solid state? Not relevant to your issue, but the solid state ones (we have Quick float switches on our Azi) are not the most reliable. Marine Super Store is doing a deal on Whale version in their clearance today. Direct swap with the Quick, so I got one in as a spare.
Back to your problem. It could be a bit of crud blocking the intake. You need a Bradley down there to sort it
