RCC have the olde commodes sailpast and lunch this weekend, our annual Xmas cruise up to Allington in November and thats it until the "Icebreaker" on 1st of January.
Of course there is always the axe grinding epic of the AGM to look forward to,having completed 3 years as rear inshore, will no doubt have to fight off with pointy stick the hordes who have whinged mightly about the committee over the past year and will be queing up to do my job. :)
Anybody doing anything interesting ?

Boat booked in to be lifted out on the 16th November and stored ashore for a few months :(

Got a long list of jobs both on the boat and at home to sort out this winter.

It's still going!

Here's Richmond Bridge yesterday:

I had a business lunch in that white restaurant on the left, um port side, and local kids stood on the other side of that fence just before the bridge and enjoyed chucking stones at the diners. Spoiled it really.
I believe Richmond maybe better viewed from the River than by the bank. It always looks stunning, but don't look too closely!

On another note does anyone know there were a load of dead bloated rats up near Kingston? We counted 10, shudder to think how many there actually where.

The season is not yet drawing to a close. It's not, and as I'm an old fart I'll say it again it is not it is not it is not!
(well it wont be if I can get the bloody ebersplutterwotsit working reliably !!!)
Ebersplutterwotsit thingy turned out to have a failed pump - bit concerning as it was newly replaced only six months ago but at least its under warranty. Anyway, replaced with a "used but ok" old one and now blowing out nice warm air so sorted for the time being!

Reminds me of the time I cast off from a winter mooring at Radcot only to discover the steering cable had frozen. That was fun, going sideways down the frozen Thames, on my own in a tiny boat and pondering how the local paper would report it all.
