As already discussed, LIBS TV coverage!

The Sunseeker, 37 metre Tri decker £9,000,000

Trinity house bit was good, the sea survival course with Dee, and the end of the programme!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I know why I'm not going this year.

Interesting.

I thought it was a better balanced programme than in previous years.

A lot to cram in within a halfhour.

SWMBO made the comment .

'the programme actually makes you want to go to the show'

I supose you can't please everyone.

Why dont they ask sailors, just for one year!!!

Becuase you're not the target market for the TV programme. Besides, even when sailing gets on the main news you find people complaining on here....

Disapointing, as expected.

Isn't that an oxymoron?

Surely if it was as you expected you shouldn't be disappointed /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

not a single mention of a multihull!

Glad I missed it then /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I agree with you Al,

I think you should go though!

If the cameras aren't showing you what you would like to see, then why not go and see what YOU want!

I enjoyed the Dee bit, the Trinity House buoy laying Tug, didn't realise the French had failed to mark up the wreck of Tricolor, leading to two further vessels colliding with it, so Trinity House had to go and do it!

Can't agree with the better than last year post's though.

But as is mentioned, you can't please every one!

An Oxymoron? I believe it is sir!
Bit over the top with the 'P' missing thing, but comming from a 'Janner' I expect nothing more!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've been away sailing for the last four weeks, so whats been happening? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Shouldn't multi hulls have two or three mentions?

During the TV programme the skipper of the Trinity House Tug stated that when the Tricolor sank, the French did not Mark it up as a wreck, and this skipper, his crew, and his Tug had to go out there and mark it up with Blue and Yellow Marker buoy's!!!!!!!!

This was his STATEMENT not mine, as I said, I was not aware of it!

So where is the nonsense?

Neil,

I understood that there were two ships 'on station' but apparently two other ships still managed to hit it!!

My Husband was the Navigation Officer on a Royal Naval vessel, sent to 'nose' at the situation.

Why is it that some people have to ridicule others on here for reporting?

I thought Chuggin held the medal for having a go at posters?

Oh well, obviously happy in their world of grumpiness!! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
