Some of you may have seen my post 2 or 3 weeks past. (Oh my God they've lost me mainlsl).

I had put my sails with Arun for the winter for laundry and valet, but when I called to arrange collection the main had mysteriously disappeared.

Well its always good to share a bit of good news and top service.

The guys at Arun (Rockall to some of us) gave it a few more days to continue the seach for the sail and then with zero fuss went over to Portchester to measure up my spars and set about making my new replacment main.

I recieved it today, I had spent the night on the visitors bouy at Itchenor and Ivan brought it down himself to the Jetty.

The sail sets perfectly, needless to say I am very pleased to be sailing again with a new main into the bargain!!

Thanks again, Ivan and Gerry at Arun.

All best Nick

Gerry was telling me about your sails when I picked up mine a few weeks ago. They're a friendly lot & they make a good product too.

well done Ivan and team- we have been regular users of arun/rockall for several years and found them to be consistently good and have no hesitation in recommending them- "sadly" they have never lost any of our sails or kit so far !

Quite agree.

Bought full batten main, stackpack and spayhood this winter for Moody 29. Found they had fitted the sprayhood less than a week after ordering, and when I enquired about the whereabouts of mainsail and stackpack 2 weeks before launch they pulled out the stops to get them ready for launch.

Not experienced enough to realy comment on quality of sail, though it looks superb. The stackpack and sprayhood, though, are simply fantastic quality - now my only worry is the bloody birds at Itchenor!

Just off Portland Bill - seas are often sloping there.

I have a much better non-slopey one taken by Beken with SWMBO on the helm and all 5 tell-tales flying horizontal, but haven't scanned it as it's too big for my scanner.
