Are you ready for the winter, buy now out of season /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I have just bought a Crewsaver Hyperdry dry suit from the Marine Superstore in Port Solent. They are selling them for £199.99, the RRP and cost at most other outlets is £309. see link below for ordering and free delivery :-

Only the one? What about the crew?

Does SWMBO know you are spending money while she and H.i are away?

and is Sarah tending to your needs in her absence?

Hi, We have one diving dry suit that Happy junior and I share, we seem to get best use of it that way. Looking at new diving dry suits, they start at around £399 for a Typhoon Nexus, I felt that I could save SWMBO nearly £200 by getting the crewsaver /forums/images/icons/wink.gif, although it would have limited use e.g. no diving. In the winter SWMBO would not go out on the boat, so just Happy junior (who thinks he is 21) and myself would go, so all OK now I guess. I didn't think it was worth buying six as I would not know the size of any potential crew members /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif although we do have six lifejackets /forums/images/icons/wink.gif So really I have saved SWMBO quite a lot /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif I don't know if it will get passed her as she normally has to agree to any proposition and stamp it authorised, but as I am now in charge for two weeks, I had to make the decision. Now what else do we need for winter? /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif What about a nice warm wooly bear fleace to put under it /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Oh Yeh! so what happens when you are thrown overboard in the winter and die of hypothermia because you were not prepared? Anyway it's is your choice I feel I have been sent down to earth to advise on safety, take note or not it's up to you, no good complaining when it is too late, and don't ever say it was never mentioned on the forum /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

P.S. I have a sports boat so I could get wet in winter, I will do a risk assessment on each of my passage plans and determine wheher or not this piece of eqipment is required. I shall not be wearing it today as I have tested the temp of the water and it falls within my safety guidlines /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

P.P.S. watch out for the jelly fish /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
