Took all the bolys out but it is seized together. I put a couple of bolts back in as Im leaving the boat now, and had an image of it coming apartand sinking my boat. Gave it a good spray of wd 40.

WD40 is a Water Dispersant, it is of little use as a penetrating/release agent. You will have a better chance with the proper stuff, such as Plusgas.

Be sure that you have not overlooked a hidden grub screw, as frequently happens.

I tried wd40 as that was all I had available at the time. I will have another look next time I get to the boat to see if I missed a screw out.

The flanges should separate if you have taken out the bolts. There is no set-screw, but there is a register, so you have to slide the prop shaft towards the stern. Alternatively, you could try taking out the four large bolts in the shaft flange. This will release the stainless shaft and you might be able to wriggle that back using Mole grips or water pump pliers - assuming there is nothing to obstruct the prop moving sternwards. The Mole grips might be a good idea to stop the whole lot disappearing out the hole!
