Now that many of those born in 1945/46 47 will be due their pension lump sums, or have those long-term investment maturing, is this going to mean that the boat market is still alive and well?
Most of the second-hand boats in my yard have been sold since winter began and a few have gone to foreign buyers.

Nope, this one's been sailing for 30 years & no desire to replace current boat. My pay-off bought a small house for our son to use at Uni (saved me a fortune in rent) & is now returning a small income - far better than any bank would do.
