shortly after a local decides to host 10 people on his fly bridge with no social distancing right in front of harbour officials. Personally I think we need to stay isolated until the virus is more under control as it’s clearly totally out of control at present, to do anything else I feel is foolhardy
That type of person would do the same in a park or BBQ at his house etc. Its not really a reason to change your mind about boating being safe as long as people follow guidance about mixing while doing it as they should with any activity.

Yes your probably right about that we are certainly seeing lots of people behaving as if there’s no pandemic, my wife and I had only been out of the house once in the 2weeks before she caught it and that was a short supermarket trip

The difference being that if someone has a meet up at their caravan or beach hut.. they are OK and one of us..
But boat owners are filthy rich bastards who deserve to be made an example of..

I have respect for qhm portsmouth. Over the years have heard people being really arsy to qhm and their reply has always been friendly and polite , and even funny.
Even his mod police are reasonable and will always return a friendly wave.
I've also been lucky enough to visit qhm operations centre. It was very interesting but wasn't allowed to take any pics.

its an airborne infection, the masks we're wearing aren't filtering, it can enter via the eyes anyway and hardly any effort has been put into ventilation. I have public coming through the room I work in and have multiple fans bringing air in one window and out the other. Heating bill will be high but its seems better to spend money on that than screens that air moves freely around and so on.
