My Webaato has a silencer and is very quiet, sometimes If I'm on the pontoon near the exhaust I have to put my hand near the exhaust to tell if it's on.
But who lets one of those run for 18 hours a day in a marina?
Wallas, silent exhaust, warm cabin...smug/snug.
Sleep at last, well it could have been permanent, his eber was left running and the exhaust for that also filled our small cabin. Didn't realise as the noise was minor but the consequences could have been serious. Awoke groggy to say the least, breakfast at Naburn.

I'd have thought a quiet walk through the marina with a can of expanding foam would solve the problem.
Potato, meet exhaust outlet = no CO poisoning.![]()
Intumescent foam![]()

Very unsociable, you can fit silencers, and a lot of responsible owners do. I spent the night at Hamble Town Quay Sunday night, there was an ebespacher running on a motor boat that had stopped for dinner, but they were only there for a while.
They left and I thought I would then get some sleep, but I could still hear one, on a mooring somewhere, it ran all night and it sounded as loud inside my boat as my own engine running would.
Ive slept on boats with them running, and I know they are quieter inside the boat thats using them than outside it.
I wouldnt sail all night and day single handed because of safety concerns over lack of sleep, yet I am forced to sail after a night without sleep by boat owners that might never have thought about how much noise their heater exhausts kicks out.
How laughable. Get some earlugs if it worries you that much.
