Arctic Jam

As it's the end of the on-the-water part of the season for some of us, has anyone found anything they'd forgotton about in their food locker they'd like to share with the forum?
Arctic jam is so-called because it has a nice green furry coat to keep it warm at higher latitudes.
(This post has a 100% Fray Bentos ban imposed on pain of death).

Once forgot some fresh!!! makerel in a gas fridge, went away offshore for two weeks and ran out of gas after two days!! No, I cannot describe the smell or mess it made!

I had some cans of tonic water under the boards in the saloon- somehow they are empty, with no signs of trauma or opening. Weird.

Not quite end of season but definitely bottom of fridge - if I said that HWMBO was only permitted to put his ragwork for fishing in the fridge if it was tightly sealed in Tupperware .... then I imagine you'd guess what it was like ! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

There's always a soggy carton of CupaSoup somewhere. And a shaker full of solidified salt. But the Fray Bentos have long been eaten. With relish. Piccallilli for preference.

always a good trick that one. put a mixture of aluminium and steel cans in a locker . it only takes a slight trace of damp....
