Has anybody tried Aquatrack LED navigation lights?

They seem very affordable and claim to be suitable for up to 12m vessels with 2NM visibility.
I'm setting up my 19' Europa for a bit of night sailing and I'm considering my options. We don't legally need full lights (under 7m, under 7 knots) but I'm considering various options.
The sidelights would have to be mounted on the cabin sides about 2 feet above the water (too low?). The pulpit sits behind the genoa tack so a bicolour isn't really suitable.
The other alternative would be battery powered 'emergency' LED type or a Nasa tricolour at the masthead?
