Recently purchased a 2.5m version of this dinghy. All seems good apart from the alloy seat which has grooves which mate with a long plastic tab (20cm long?) and is slid into position. Twice now the tab has become detached from the seat. The only way of reattaching the seat is to deflate slightly, slide seat onto tabs and reinflate. Not handy if your rowing and land on your ar$€. Seat also can't be reattached when not on land. Anyone else resolved this? I'm thinking of punching holes in the tabs with suitable grommets and drilling appropriate marching holes in seat and using laces to attach.

I've got one of these and dont have any issues. Are you sure you're inflating it enough once the seat has been installed as it's this which should stop it coming off the plastic tab.

I bought a Aquafax 230 inflatable in June 2017 so it is out of warranty. One of the life lines has come away from the dinghy clearly indicating a very poor splice. I have looked at other Aquafax inflatables in the dinghy compound at my marina and this seems to be a common occurrence with cable ties being used to rectify the problem and indicates poor quality and a potential life threatening hazard if hoping to use the rope to climb back aboard – Aquafax call them life lines on their website but they are simply poor quality carrying handles.
