I had my sailboat AquaCoted (non biocide foul release system) 2 years ago.It was reassuringly expensive .the company has gone bust. It doesn’t work for sailboats.the polyurethane surface is still in great condition. But is totally useless. As we rarely exceed 8 knots and we would need to do that pretty much every day otherwise fouling gets a. Hold. So 2 questions 1. Has anyone removed it and how? 2. And has any one one abraded it, primed it and antifouled it

mines working ok, although we spend a lot of time in fresh water, after 3 years or so.
i was told to use a hot water jet wash once it began to lose its integrity.
looking to remove it this winter.
will use the akzo nobel version which is easier to apply.

We also had this done nearer 3 years ago now. Yes, it's not really suitable for slow moving yachts. Just makes cleaning the fouling off more easy that it would otherwise be. Wish I'd gone for coppercoat. I was told at the time that removal required a steam pressure washer and it would come off easily (the 'slippery' coat, that is), ready for something else to applied (probably after abrading).
