I have been using my old Aqua Vac Multisystem 3000 for dust extraction whilst sanding off several coats of antifouling.
It seemed to be distributing the dust rather than collecting it and I changed the filter which improved the situation markedly I thought. However these filters (there is only one) clog easily with this dust and plaster dust. I clean them with a paint brush fairly gently and they seem to loose their effectiveness. I think it is a paper filter, there is a foam one available but I have never used this, does anyone have any experience.
Does anyone else use one of these or vacuum with similar single filters?
Do you experience the same?
Can anyone recommend a better quality filter ideally washable?
Or, another make of unit which ideally will do dust extraction, workshop vacuum duties and wet vacuuming.
I am aware of Fein, Festool and the like but would like to find a more economical solution if possible.
