good evening everyone.
can any one help please?? I've been searching the web to try and find what oil pressure I should have when at tick over when the engine is at running temp?
I suspect mine is a bit low as it drops to around 8-10 psi at idle when warm!
no low oil pressure alarm though!

have bit of an interest in this.
Have inherited a pair of 41B.
Mine register.When hot just over 30 at tickover and just under 60 pounds at cruise.
Think this about right at 1000 hours. ?
 
HI there, I recently had my 41a's rebuilt because the oil pressure was low.

Correct should be around 30PSI with warm engine at idle.

One thing though, you may have an gauge error, the alarm should of sounded off if it was really at 10PSI - My alarm sounded between 25 and 30.
 
There is oil pressure relief valves on the oil filter housing, these are known to wear and cause low oil pressure
I would remove the sender and fit a me hanical gauge to verify oil pressure, then try replacing pressure relief valves if need be
 
Thanks for the replies, I thought the registered 8-10 psi was low! I did replace the pressure relief valves on both motors gery w, but unfortunately it didn't make any difference! Will get a mechanical oil pressure gauge and try that next
