AQAD31 what\'s the base engine?

anyone know what the automotive/industrial engine base is for the volvo AQAD31 type A or B?

got a problem with sticking valves. and i think there's a modification available.

AFAIK, the AD31 is a custom designed marine unit. Didn't know there was an A variant, only the B (130hp) P (150hp), after which they bolted on the supercharger and made it the KAD32.

pretty sure it's the case. I'm told it's one reason that there are no pencil anodes on that engine - it was designed as marine from scratch, so the materials were all chosen correctly.

It is correct

30-series (as was) and then 31-series are the four-cylinder equivalents of the 40/41 series blocks, all designed from ground up for marine use although latterly some placed in industrial applications such as fork lift truck engines.
