On a cold grey blustery day I thought I would post a few pics taken last Monday....

Another crowded Med anchorage

Enjoying a leisurely breakfast

We were anchored in 3m of cystal clear water

No problem wondering if the anchor had set (not a brilliant shot but the anchor is NE of the sun spot with the chain running diagonally to the bottom left of the pic)

It stayed just about perfect all day

So there you no story, tales of epic voyages or derring do, just a lovely day showing why we are in the Med............

Looks fantastic, wish we were there!
Temp today in Bristol barely into double figures and wind about F4 F5 feeling bloody cold, grey and miserable.
To make it worse I had to go and look around the new "Cabot Circus" shopping centre!
Actually it was ok but I'd never admit that!

Ah, Alcudia & Alcanada NE Mallorca - lovely spot.

Buddy of mine is staying at Botel Alcudia this week on my recommendation - phew /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

No its not, although I can see why you might think it was there.

As SV recognised its Alcanada in Alcudia Bay, just about 1.5 miles outside Alcudia and a favourite spot when we just want to get out of the stifling heat in the marina.

The only downside to the day were the number of jellyfish that were lurking waiting to get us if we fancied going in for a swim. Nasty little beggars by all accounts. There seems to be more of them every year.

PS: Speaking of pics, I hope MBY suitably rewarded you for the Sardinia pic, it looked fabulous.

Question from Pedant's Corner. Is it Alcanada or Aucanada or are they one and the same?

Same place Mike just different spelling, one standard Spanish (Alcanada) & one Mallorquian I think.

To my untrained ear the local dialect sounds to have french influence in it

Ah thanks for the correction. I'll have to take a cruise over there next summer to brush up on my geography then
