I've noticed an increasing tendency for people to sign off with some form of -"IF you don't like what I've written, I apologise and please understand that it is purely my way of thinking and shouldn't in any way be construed as an offensive assault on anyones sensibilities" strapline.

All a bit mealy-mouthed if you ask me and I favour a leaning towards a more demonstrative and assertive sign-off.

So - perhaps a bit more - UP Yours or WELL!!!??? and a bit less of the cordiality - after all we have the Chinese Year of the Rooster pending
