Anyone used Compass24 recently ?

Hi,

Question as title : I've read up on them and they've had mixed reviews in the past. Just wondered if anyone'd used then recently and cared to comment on whether they're up to snuff ?

Not heard any complaints recently.

Only used them once and goods arrived quickly enough ( From Germany IIRC)

Dunno if it still applies but there was a discount on the telephone order prices if ordered on line .. or something like that

Had good service in the past, bought a Raymarine tillerpilot from them... when it went a bit wonky on me, they said it was still within Raymarine's one year warranty but even once that lasped they reminded me that Compass give a two year warranty- which was nice to know

Have just placed another order with them, with free postage, not expecting any problems.

They were OK, the UK carriers, Hermes, were useless. Took 2 months for a tiny order to arrive. The carriers said my address didn't exist .... or in my opinion couldn't be bothered to come out into the sticks. In the end the order arrived twice.

I have used them several times, delivery has been fine and the goods what was described, I would have no problem using them again.

+1 ditto. awaiting delivery of an order at present.
if you subscribe to their e newsletter and order thro` same then the prices are lower. also almost perpetual " special " offers.

One good thing compared to MarineMegatwits is that if something does go wrong and you call them, then they answer the phone and try to sort it out. I had some wrong sized clothing delivered but they quickly put it right after 1 phone call.

I use them 2 or 3 times a year with no trouble. There again I use Marien Megastore too, its just down the road and I visit in person.

Thanks for the replies, the order went in with Piplers in the end but it's good to know C24 are in good favour anyway.
