Anyone use the MoorFast system

It is more expensive than the Bosco and does not have two of the attributes which make the Bosco rather more usefull:

The ability to release the hook, and the addition of the wire strop for picking up a cleat from a distance.

IMHO for the way I moor and secure alongside, the Bosco is far superior.

I have 3 systems,

1) Bosco (never used much these days, as too small gape, but has good release mechanism)
2) Kong hook (most often used, great gape, very strong)
3) Boat hook and manual threading (used on bouncy mooring buoys)

The great advantage of my favourite, the Kong, is that it will go round the horrible cleat-less ends of French pontoon fingers. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
