Yesterday afternoon (Fri 21/3), left boat on Chiswick Pier for a couple of hours, came back at 3pm to discover my lovely flag staff & ensign missing. It was a really windy day, so I'm assuming a gust of wind pulled it out of socket and it fell in the drink (I'd hate to think anyone pinched it /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif).

It's a lovely magohony pole with a rooster on top and a red ensign. If you find it please PM me (yeah, I know, pretty unlikely). But if you know where I could get a similar pole with a rooster, please, please PM me.

I'm feeling naked without it /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I'm just pleased if i miss the island /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Re the flag pole , i think the rooster is going to be harder to find than the flag pole . Looks like a standard pole to me /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The refered to wash would not expose my props, and I see no rooster. The other wash post did expose my props and happens every year as posted elsewhere. The flippant way that this is dealt with gets me irate, even video footage sent to London VTS did nothing.

The rooster is on top of the pole (look carefully at the picture).

Sadly he, the pole, and the Red Ensign went AWOL.

Yes, you're right Cuchilo, it was a standard pole which i can replace easily. I'm currently surfing and calling various establishments, searching for a rooster, but for some reason no one will take me seriously when I ask for a cock for my pole /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

But I will miss it - it was my first pole & ensign on my first boat, so had lots of nostalgic value.

Now I really am off for a drink.
