I'm in the market for all things safety...

life jackets, flares, rescue lifebuoy set

has anyone seen any good deals recently, and what life jackets are peoples favourites? Auto inflate with harness.
 
I just bought five auto lifejackets (with harness and crutch strap) and a larger bundle of lifejacket lights from here

Very quick delivery and they were new and in new bags... Perfect.. They had the Marine Pool ones in the clearance part when I ordered...

I was going to get a set of four from another page on their site but changed my mind at the last moment and got five for less money.... We're happy... And the lights look good because they have the remote dangly contact lead.
 
Anything else I buy in the local chandleries because I like to support them, to see what I'm buying and not have to wait a day or two for delivery :)
 
Google Shopping is fantastic for finding best price with minimum fuss. It is worth playing about with the search terms a few times to see what pops up, or use the actual description once you find the exact model you want. You have a right to change your mind, up to two weeks after buying. Some returns are FOC, clothes typically, but all hardware returns I have had to pay for.

I have been sceptical about on line shopping but now think it is easy, convenient and accurate. It is by far my preferred method of shopping. Check postage costs and compare, and consider free postage options for orders over a certain total, compared to buying items from multiple retailers.

Related, I want to buy a Spinlock Deckvest, or might consider a Crewsaver Ergofit Pro - is there a good time to buy?

I will try and wait a few months if I might save £50 by buying last year's model at the end of the season.
 
Spinlock do some good deals themselves on eBay, I bought a deck vest 275 hammar from them a few years back for about £100 when retail at the time was way north of £200.
