anyone sailing to the isle of man from dublin (or ireland)

Hello,

this is my first post here, if this kinda post isnt allowed sorry, pls take it down (or tell me how to make it acceptable :)

anyway i have fallen in love with a girl and she unfortunatly just got placed on placement on the isle of mann. I was wondering if anyone is planning a sailing trip there in the next week or so, and if so could i grab a ride? quite the longshot, but flights/ferries there are suuuper expensive. I have very little boating experience but i am an alright fella so i dont think i would sink the boat. Im based in dublin, idk if this is just a UK forum or ireland as well, but worth a shot asking anyway



If anyone knows anyone whos planning this sail, or even knows of other boating forums i could post this to, i would be very greatful :)

Your username reminds me of when I was 13 or 14 and flew on my own to stay with my uncle in NL. My baggage consisted of my Puma hold-all, with “Mark Loves Amanda” scrawled on the side. The gorgeous (ie female) flight attendant who had the job of chaperoning me was ‘fascinated’ by this and I was convinced this ruined my chances with her! (My love for Amanda was, predictably, also unrequited).

You may need to find a commercial vessel to carry you as a "pleasure vessel” is (partly) defined in the Merchant Shipping Regs as "any vessel which at the time is being used is by individual or individuals, used only for the sport or pleasure of the owner or the immediate family or friends of the owner and on a voyage or excursion which is one for which the owner does not receive money for or in connection with operating the vessel or carrying any person, other than as a contribution to the direct expenses of the operation of the vessel incurred during the voyage or excursion".

Better start making friends now (or was that the purpose of your post?)
