Anyone rooted a Hudl2 successfully?

If so what method/instructions please.

I am aware search is my friend and have done so but am asking for experience/recommendations. My Hudl2 is full despite having few apps of my choice, virtually no pictures (and those that are there are I think on the SD card), no music and no other media.

The 2 suits me and I would like to prolong its life as long as possible.

You might need to explain "rooted" .
 
Is rooting a cool re-booting / resetting? Or a keyboard error? Either way here we are.

I reset mine to factory a short while ago because I was going to flog it. I then changed my mind and had to re-load all my stuff. If worked fine, and if I can do it anybody can, believe me.

I can't remember quite how I went about it, but followed simple on line instructions. Here is an engaging little chap to tell you about it:
