I have a really good clean example of the 7' folding dinghy the Falkland circa 1987 complete with original paperwork, which mentions that an optional sail kit was available, does anyone have or can point me in the right direction to getting the sail kit please, I'm told it's a Sprit design somewhat similar to the Optomist.
Ideally I would like to have the original sail kit, any condition would be welcome, failing that, can anyone provide best guess as to the size of mast/sprit, sail shape, colour and area, was it 1 leaboard or 2? did it have a rudder?

I was given a Seahopper folding wooden dinghy for the sailing club. It has a hole in the hull which will be repaired at some point, but we also have a full sailing rig. I am not sure if it's similar to the one you mention? If anyone wanted to make use of it as a sailing dinghy, I am sure we can negotiate a deal for a small donation to our fund raising for a landing stage.

The newsletter diagrams look exactly like the design and reality of the www.woodenwidget.com folding 'canvas' dinghy that I made. The WWidget comes in both a 6 and 8 foot versions, and IIRC, the rig as well as the leeboard and rudder were modified from Optimist or similar sized dinghies.
Any adaptation from a similar 8 foot dinghy's rig, rudder & daggerboard-cum-leeboard would not be difficult.
