Saturday was nice until the wind dropped!

just sunny pics I'm afraid. friday foggy and windy, saturday windyish but clear, Sunday was nice and Monday was proper early summertime in the solent, but with bugger all wind until after we had got back on the mooring some pictures including a boat playing dodgems with a tanker in the solent (maybe they look closer than they actually were!)

Yup we were out ....2 days pottering around the upper clyde spending both nights at anchor in Loch Goil. Yesterday was magical, motoring out of the loch to recharge the batteries in a morning mist, wind started to come up, 30 degrees off the starboard bow. Sails up and just as we were bearing off onto beam reach we sailed out the mist into glorious blue skied sunshine at 6.5 knots ....... an hour later the wind died so we had lunch on deck in flat calm and no sooner than the last swig of red wine was finished, the wind came back up for a delightful sail back to the marina.

A perfect way to start the new season

Drifting on Saturday, great sailing sunday and eventually got some wind on Monday. Brilliant all round weekend.
