Sat up browsing as the wind hits 39kn and the boat starts to try to take the pontoon off its pile. Can't sleep and simply refuse to go on deck to sort the clanging (despite tying everything off with antislappers etc! Anyone else awake and onboard?

Apparently we had a gust up to 97 knots at 3 a.m. this morning I never heard a thing slept soundly at home in bed, the boat is still there this morning but now leaping a bit. My fingers are firmly crossed that it stays that way until the wind dies down a bit and I can get out there.

That's just ridiculous. Glad it has finally dropped to 24kn now. Finally fell asleep at 0430, but knackered now. Have sorted the halyards today and nothing clanging so far! Sailing tomorrow, so fingers crossed. D
